St. Sava Youth Group

Established in the Fall of 2009 with the purpose to bring Serbian Orthodox teens to a deeper devotion of Serbian Orthodox Church, its faith, canons, and worship. Our goal is to fully integrate each teen into the full life of the church, to create a safe and nurturing environment for teenagers to grow in Christ, and to form spiritual and social bonds between each individual. The group welcomes teens from the age of 13yrs to 18yrs from both St. Sava Church (Wallings Rd.) and St. Sava Cathedral (Broadview Rd). We meet the first Tuesday of each month alternating between the two churches. We hope to develop leadership skills in the youth by having the teens elect members of office who will assist in planning, scheduling, and fundraising of events. We are under the guidance of Father Mijoljub Matic and Father Zivojin Jakovljevic. The youth group leaders are Dr. Olga Kovacevic and Mrs. Angie Majerle.
